I gave it to my beautiful daughter Chelsea to commemorate the birth of Raechel. The white “snowflakes” are hand embroidered on the purple painted background, (not because Raechel was born in the winter. She was born in the summer, but I made this in the winter, and apparently had snowflakes on my mind. )and the hair of the Mom and baby are hand embroidered as well. I love the contrast of the red hearts against the dark blue!
There are hours and hours of pure love that went into this piece.
The swirly “stained glass” border is pearl paint, with the hand embroidered snowflakes showing through. I think it’s quite the masterpiece!
Sometimes I have too much to say about a work of art, and sometimes I have little. I think in this case, it is the painting that says it all. Each brush stroke and stitch executed with love. Yes, Michael Jackson, I get you!
